DIT Fashion Show

Last night was one of the biggest nights in the DIT calendar with the DIT Fashion show hitting Vicar Street. I was modeling in the show myself and all the models and crew had a brilliant night and that was before the after party in Tivoli! Nokia came on board and helped with the funding of the show by putting an advert in the programme.

This year the theme of the show was ‘Tribal Expression - the urban theory’, One city, many tribes! I my self was in the Hippy Bohemian tribe. Last night the show allowed the audience to explore the city that is the catwalk and the tribes that walk it, breathe and live it! The clothes gracing the catwalk were a mixture of colourful and cutting edge styles by international brands sourced from high street stores. Don Mullan to come to DIT

Don Mullan is an Irish man of many talents, not only is he a photographer but he is also an author of a best selling book and a humanitarian worker, heading up a well known Irish aid agency. He also boasts the title of co-producer and actor on the award winning film Bloody Sunday.

He started working with Nokia in April 2007 when he approached them with an idea to create an exhibition of his travels through images taken soley with Nokia N73 and N95 handsets. A selection of some of his best images wil be on exhibition the day of the talk.

Dons visit to DIT, has been organised in honour of Nokia’s sponsorship of the photography categories in the upcoming SMEDIA Avards 2009. This is Nokia’s 3rd year sponsoring the 3 photography categories:
-News Photography of the Year
-Sports Photography of the Year
-Photographer of the Year

Nokia Brand Ambassador

Hi im the new Nokia Brand Ambassador for DIT. Doing training today having the craic. SMEDIAS are comming us soon and Nokia and Media Soc are having Don Mullan in in the weeks ahead.
