Some Tips for the Exams
by user on April 30th, 2009
Make a study timetable and stick to it.
Include some fun time in your timetable and stick to it too!
Try and eat well. The library can be a haven for colds and flu so don’t let a cold ruin all your study.
Although it is easier said than done, don’t get stressed.
If someone is talking in the library, tell them to be quiet. If they don’t stop get a library steward.
Make sure to keep quiet in the library – conversations are for outside!
Aim to get at least 6 hours of sleep a night.
If you don’t understand something, contact your lecturer. They want you to pass; otherwise they’re in during the summer correcting your exams.
Bring plenty of pens and water to the exams. If you must bring sweets, make sure they are quiet to open!
Don’t forget to bring your ID to the exam. Replacement College IDs are available from the Admissions Office upstairs in Áras Ui Chathaill at a cost of €13.
Remember you can go and chat to the Welfare or Education Officers in the Students’ Union if you’re feeling stressed about exams and essays, or you can email them at su.welfare@nuigalway.ie or su.education@nuigalway.ie
